Next Stage Arts hails local author’s new novel

Tim Weed will celebrate the publication of a new novel, “The Gatepost,” with a launch party and reading on Tuesday, May 26, 6 pm, at Next Stage Arts, 15 Kimball Hill.

“The Gatepost” blends elements of mystery, science fiction, and the supernatural. The novel follows Esme Weatherhead, who returns home to rural Vermont twenty years after Weathead’s father’s unexplained disappearance. While writing the story, a hidden world of cryptic journals, psychedelic experiments, and a long-lost cave buried deep in the forest are discovered. With the help of a local geologist, Weatherhead embarks on a search that challenges the boundaries of reality and leads to profound revelations about love, loss, and the resilience of life itself.

The evening will feature a reading from the novel, a conversation with the author, and an audience Q&A. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

The launch event offers readers an opportunity to engage with the author and celebrate the arrival of a new work of fiction.
