Upcoming events at Williamsville Hall

The Williamsville Hall, 35 Dover Road, announces its upcoming programming.

On Tuesday, April 21, from 6 to 8 pm, the hall hosts the Green Mountain Open Mic Night. Come share talent, songs, written word, and music, all are welcome. Audience members are encouraged. This is a free event; donations accepted for the hall.

Tai chi is offered on Tuesdays at 11 am weekly.

The next breakfast at Williamsville Hall is being held on Sunday, April 19, from 9 am to 12 noon. The breakfast is complimentary, though donations for the hall are appreciated, and open to everyone. Enjoy homemade pancakes, pastries, tea, coffee, and orange juice.

The Seymour Sisters will be performing Americana music on Saturday, April 18, from 7 to 9 pm. The suggested donation is $25 to $50, and all proceeds will benefit the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP). The band includes local musicians Beth Spicer on banjo, mandolin and guitar, Laura Bryant-Williams on vocals and guitar, Kate Wolff on Dobro, and Betsy Williams on upright bass.

They will be joined by special guests Mike Pieciak, Vermont Treasurer, and Molly Gray, former lieutenant governor. and previous director of the Vermont Afghan Alliance, who will each give brief remarks.

VAAP is a technical assistance organization that exists to provide access to critical immigration support for interpretive and legal services. It is currently one of the primary organizations providing this legal assistance at a time when immigrants are under siege.

Tickets will be available at the door. Payment accepted via cash, check or Venmo. There will be light refreshments available. Those unable to attend but wish to support VAAP can send checks to Betsy Williams, 1197 Westminster West Road, Putney, VT, 05346, payable to Vermont Asylum Assistance Project.
