Wilmington 250 committee hosts historian, author Graffagnino

On Sunday, April 19, at 4 pm, the Vermont 250 Town of Wilmington committee will welcome Vermont historian J. Kevin Graffagnino to the Old School Community Center, to speak about “Why Vermont History Matters.”Graffagnino is the author of several works on Vermont history, including most recently “Ira Allen: A Biography.” The talk will be followed by the committee’s official “76 Kick-off Party,” marking 76 days of celebration of America’s semiquincentennial. Explore the first display commemorating the elements that led to the writing of the Declaration of Independence. There will be light refreshments and conversation after Graffagnino’s talk and attendees can pick up a calendar of Village Strolls, talks, and activities. The community is welcome to the first of several events marking this historic moment in Wilmington, Vermont, and the nation. The Old School Community Center is located at 1 School Street.
