Giralt Soler and trio to perform in Putney

Cellist, vocalist, and composer Queralt Giralt Soler will perform at Next Stage Arts, 15 Kimball Hill, on Friday, February 20, for an evening of music that bridges classical training, jazz improvisation, and Catalan folk traditions.

The performance begins at 7:30, with doors opening at 6:45. Tickets are $22 in advance, $25 at the door or $10 for livestream access, and available at nextstagearts.org.

Giralt Soler is joined by an outstanding ensemble featuring Mahya Hamedi on piano, percussion, and vocals and Bahar Badiei on oud and vocals. Together, the trio will present Giralt Soler’s original compositions alongside imaginative reinterpretations of works by influential composers such as Hermeto Pascoal and Paco de Lucía.
