Marlboro Music announces its 75th year programs

This summer, Marlboro Music marks 75 years of bringing together musicians to collaborate, listen, and share a devotion to chamber music.

The anniversary season runs Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, August 16, under the artistic leadership of pianists Mitsuko Uchida and Jonathan Biss.

Marlboro Music was founded in 1951, in the aftermath of World War II, as an act of belief in the power of collaboration, the necessity of listening, and the idea that music could help heal a fractured world. Over seven decades, this commitment has shaped generations of artists and left its mark on musical life in the United States and beyond.

Each summer, some 80 musicians from around the world gather on Marlboro’s campus for seven weeks of intensive rehearsal, study, and discovery. As the summer unfolds, groups present the results of the work to audiences during five weekends of concerts and open rehearsals.

Tickets for the 2026 season are on sale now at marlboromusic.org and through the Marlboro box office at (215) 569-4690. Concert tickets are $20–$40.

Performances take place on Marlboro’s campus in Persons Auditorium, 2472 South Road, on Saturday evenings at 8 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm, with additional Friday evening performances on August 7 and August 14 at 8 pm. The August 7 concert is the annual Marlboro Music Town benefit concert; all proceeds go directly to Marlboro town organizations.

Open rehearsals begin the week of July 13, with performance schedules announced at the start of each week.
