Scott Farm hosts Celtic & Québécois music festival on Labor Day
DUMMERSTON-Next Stage Arts’ Bandwagon Summer Series presents the Celtic & Québécois Music Festival on Monday, September 7, at Scott Farm, 707 Kipling Road, for an afternoon celebrating the musical traditions of Ireland, Scotland, and Québec. The festival features Poor Man’s Gambit, Cantrip, and Cécilia, with music beginning at 3 pm; gates open at 2.
Together, the three acts offer a musical journey spanning Irish-American roots, Scottish-influenced fusion, and French-Canadian flair, demonstrating how traditional music continues to evolve, cross-pollinate, and inspire new generations. Food will be available onsite from Smokin’ Bowls and AlpineGlo Farm Taqueria, and refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic, blanket or fold-up chair and settle in for an afternoon of music in the relaxed outdoor setting of Scott Farm.
Tickets are $28 in advance and $32 at the gate, with children under 12 admitted free. Tickets are available at nextstagearts.org. A dedicated play area is available at every Bandwagon performance, making the series an easy outing for families.
The Bandwagon Summer Series is a family-friendly outdoor cultural performance series running from June through September. Featuring a diverse range of musical styles, puppetry, and circus arts, Bandwagon performances take place at ballfields, farms, and parks throughout Putney, Brattleboro, and Bellows Falls. Kids under 12 always get in free, and onsite refreshments include a bar and food from local vendors.
