At a Wilmington DRB hearing, several downtown business property owners expressed skepticism about Lorista Holdings’ plan to connect the former Wilmington Home Center building and the Professional Building on East Main Street. Lorista sought to create a 16-room inn with retail space on the first floor. Before the hearing started, DRB chair Peter Wallace admonished Lorista for leaving the buildings in poor condition for the previous several years. Lorista partner Mike Riccio apologized for the state of the buildings.
