Apple Barn opens for spring with Annual Maple in April festival
The Apple Barn & Country Bake Shop, 604 Route 7, will officially reopen for the season on Friday, April 4, welcoming visitors for another year of fresh bakery and Vermont-made goods, as well as community events at the farm.
Guests visiting during the early spring season can expect to find fresh apple cider doughnuts, bakery items made daily, Vermont maple products, and local specialty foods. Also available are farm market gifts and locally crafted goods, seasonal beverages, sweet treats, and a calendar of upcoming community events and festivals.
The first event of the spring is the annual Maple in April Festival, Saturday and Sunday, April 11 and April 12, from 10 am to 5 pm. The free two-day event celebrates Vermont’s maple season with maple tastings, family activities, live music, local makers, and special food and beverage offerings. This year’s festival will also feature a new interactive maple education experience inside the recently completed greenhouse, offering visitors a hands-on look at how maple sap becomes syrup and why Vermont’s maple season is such an important part of the state’s agricultural heritage.
The Apple Barn typically operates seasonally from spring through the holidays, becoming especially popular during Vermont’s vibrant fall foliage season.
