Thanks to Dover's Green Up volunteers
To the Editor:
Approximately 40 community members of all ages met at The Dover School on a mixed-weather Green Up Day to volunteer to help clean up our town. In addition, several other volunteers picked up bags from the town office and helped Green Up throughout the week. I saw lots of green trash bags collected throughout Dover, and our town looks much better thanks to everyone’s efforts.
Thank you to all the volunteers who came out on Saturday, as well as those who picked up green bags early at the town office and collected trash before Green Up Day. I appreciate Town Clerk Andy McLean’s help in handing out bags early.
We couldn’t keep Dover looking as good as it does without the help of the Dover road crew. I appreciate the road crew cleaning up many of our main roads ahead of time, picking up all the green bags, and everything they do throughout the year to keep Dover looking beautiful.
Thanks to The Deerfield Valley News for the publicity they’ve given the event. I appreciate the River Valleys Unified School District Board and Tracey Gamache, principal of The Dover School, for the use of the outside of the school building for this community event.
Thank you to everyone who helped “Green Up” Dover and keep our community clean and green! Your help is greatly appreciated.
