Halifax voters will weigh in on recycling, auditor office

HALIFAX- Voters will gather on Town Meeting Day to tend to a warning that includes 11 articles. Though the number of warned articles is smaller than those of nearby towns, it contains some consequential questions, including whether recycling drop-off and pickup will be contracted and whether the town will eliminate its town auditor position and use a public accountant for future audits instead.

Article 1 is to hear the report of the town officers. Article 2 covers the dates on which taxes will be collected, that being September 30, 2026.
