Twin Valley’s baseball team had a mixed start to the season, winning one game and losing the other after the Wildcats’ top pitcher retired hurt.

Halen Ranslow came off the field after pulling a muscle in his rib cage in the fourth inning during an away game against Mount St. Joseph’s Academy on April 15, said head coach Greg Nido. Nido’s son Max then pitched, giving up one earned run after two that were given up by Ranslow. The Wildcats ended up losing 6-0, disappointing their coach who nevertheless has high hopes for the remaining 12 games over the next month.
