Yellow Barn plans an afternoon of music, poetry
On Saturday, January 31, from 3 to 4:30 pm, Yellow Barn alumni Daniel Chong, Jessica Bodner, and Daniel Anastasio, with poet Naomi Shihab Nye, will present an afternoon of music and poetry at The Big Barn, 61 Main Street. Following the performance, the artists will lead an open conversation with the audience.
The program includes the following selections, with interwoven poetry readings: Eugene Ysaÿe, Sonata No. 4 in E Minor; Johannes Brahms, Trio for Piano, Horn and Violin; Dmitri Shostakovich, Five Pieces for Two Violins and Piano; Maurice Ravel, Violin Sonata No. 2; Tessa Lark, Variations on a Moment; Luciano Berio, Duetti for Two Violins; and Charles Ives, Piano Sonata No. 2 (Concord, Mass., 1840-60).
There is no admission charge for this event but tickets can be requested at https://www.yellowbarn.org/. Donations are always appreciated.
