Discuss trees with author

WILMINGTON- The public is invited to join Bartleby’s Books, 17 West Main Street, for a reading and discussion with Mark Mikolas, author of “A Beginner’s Guide to Recognizing Trees of the Northeast,” on Thursday, July 19, at 5 pm. This event is part of the summer stroll put on each Thursday in July by Wilmington Works.
Mikolas has had an eclectic work history in film, writing, editing, and traveling. And through it all, he has had an abiding interest in trees. As far back as the 1980s he published his first articles about trees in such publications as Old Farmer’s Almanac and Mother Earth News. For the past several years, Mikolas has taken a camera on his frequent hikes, documenting many of the unique features of the trees he encountered. That has culminated in his latest project, “A Beginner’s Guide to Recognizing Trees of the Northeast.”
