Dover Water Task Force hosts second public meeting February 11
The second public meeting to review the draft version of the town of Dover Water System Feasibility Study will be held on Wednesday, February 11, at 6 pm, at the Dover Town Hall on Dover Common.
The draft results will be presented by the Dover Municipal Water Task Force and Christina Haskins of the Dufresne Group Consulting Engineers. Haskins is the lead engineer on the study; Dufresne Group was awarded the study contract by the town last year.
The February 11 presentation will include possible funding options for the system. Ashley Lucht, Director of Community finance at Quantified Ventures, will lead the discussion.
The study draft includes overall results of the recent townwide survey of residents, voters, and property owners. The survey asked participants to answer a number of questions about concepts for a water system for East Dover and West Dover. Dufresne Group received more than 500 responses to the survey.
The meeting will also touch on potential design concepts for a water system and review options for constructing a system in multi-year phases.
These meetings are being held to keep the community informed and obtain feedback to help shape the future of Dover. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
