Free “grab and go” Thanksgiving meals offered at St. Mary’s church in Wilmington
WILMINGTON - On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, between 2 and 3 pm, St. Mary’s in the Mountains Episcopal Church, 13 East Main Street, will offer free turkey dinners. The meals are “grab and go” for those who are in need or alone. People from throughout the valley are invited by community volunteers to this yearly
event.
Please reserve your dinner by calling (802) 464-8480 and leave a message for Dick Ward; state the number of meals needed and provide a phone number so the order can be
confirmed.
On Thanksgiving Day, please come to the church side door between 2 and 3 pm to pick up. Order early in the month to be sure orders can be filled.
Turkeys are provided by Christa and John Gannon, side dishes by members of St. Mary’s, the Rotary Club of the Deerfield Valley, SVMC Deerfield Valley Campus, and members of the community.
Anyone who can help out by providing a side dish of stuffing, mashed potatoes, string beans or carrots should contact Dick Ward at (802) 464-8480.
