Cherie Giddings stepped down as Readsboro’s school board chair after two failed budget votes and acrimonious public budget informational meetings. In her letter of resignation, Giddings said she hoped that, following her departure, Readsboro would move in a positive forward direction, fully support its teachers, proactively engage in the Act 46 merger process, and try to settle its differences “in a somewhat humane way.”
