Every year on January 27, Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day designated by the United Nations General Assembly, the world pauses to honor the six million Jews and countless others who were murdered and who suffered under Nazi persecution. The day is not only about remembering tragedy. It is about carrying memory forward. As Holocaust survivors age and fewer remain to share their firsthand stories, it becomes our responsibility to bear witness in their place.
