Dog hearing creates confusion, raises rabies concerns

By Cearra O’Hern
WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Selectboard closed a public hearing and entered a deliberative session following evidence and testimony of a “vicious” dog attack early Monday morning. Selectboard Chair Tom Fitzgerald said the attack was one of the worst he’d seen.
Andrew Wolfson, a semi-retired Wilmington resident, submitted a complaint detailing the incident to the town Monday, July 14. Wolfson was taking his regular morning walk on Cornell Way when two dogs owned by neighbor Robie Lordi ran out of the woods.
