DOVER- A bankruptcy auction of the Snow Mountain Market property scheduled for this week has been postponed, thanks to the ongoing shutdown of the federal government.
Last month, Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee Ray Obuchowski filed a motion in Vermont District Bankruptcy Court to sell the property to a qualified bidder at a public auction, scheduled for 11 am on Friday, October 17, followed by a hearing approving the sale later the same afternoon. In his motion, Obuchowski set a minimum bid of $825,000, and appeared to refer to an unnamed potential bidder.
