Food drive seeks in-kind donations and cash to help kids and adults

WILMINGTON- A Wilmington merchant is heading a plan to collect food and cash for children and adults in the Deerfield Valley who may lack sustained access to healthy food.

David Petrie, owner of Farmhouse Market on Route 100 North, is hoping to collect 2,000 items of donated food during the food drive at his store from 2 pm to 5 pm on Friday but will accept items any time between Wednesday, Feb. 25 and Monday, March 2.
