Merchant seeks town approval of food-truck plan

WILMINGTON- The owner of the Farmhouse Market, located on Route 100, went before the Wilmington Development Review Board on Monday in the hope they would approve his plan for a food truck outside his store.
David Petrie told the panel that he wants to encourage more customers to enter his store, which sells a variety of local produce, plus cheeses, baked goods, craft beer, and other items. The truck would sell pre-made food from the store, and would allow the business to expand without the expense of adding to the existing building just north of Wilmington Village.
