Included in the cabaret are songs by Tom Lehrer, Phil Ochs, Jonathan Larson, Craig Carnelia, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bob Dylan, Stephen Schwartz, Kander and Ebb, Howard Crabtree, originals, and more; a short improvisation set; original satire, revived satires; “news” clips; and excerpts from Sinclair Lewis’ prescient novel, “It Can’t Happen Here.”
Admission is $15; there will be cabaret-style seating at cafe tables. Home-baked goods available by donation. Cabaret goers are invited to enjoy beverages of choice. For reservations go to rockriverplayers.org. email verbatimvt@gmail.com for more information.
