Wilmington Historical Society wants you

To the Editor:
How would you like to learn more about Wilmington history along with being an active member of the Historical Society of Wilmington? We are looking to expand our volunteer force with more hands-on, active members for open house hours and fundraisers along with other tasks that come along with preserving local history.
All are welcome to attend our monthly meetings, held on the second Wednesday of each month, from April through November. Meetings are at 7 pm, at the Barber House, 5 Lisle Hill Road. There are also special events: Wednesday June 10, 7 pm, is Trivia Night at Pettee Memorial Library and Tuesday August 4, 7 pm, is Bingo Night at the Old School Community Center.
The museum’s summer hours are Sundays, 1 to 3 pm, July 5 through September 6. To learn more about the society and view our 2026 newsletter, visit our website at http://www.wilmingtonhistoricalsociety.com.
The society is ever so grateful for those who continue to support the society, whether through yearly membership dues, monetary donations, artifacts and/or volunteering your time as an active member. All of these factors contribute to preserving Wilmington history for years to come - thank you.
