Reception at 118 Elliot scheduled June 5 to showcase three artists
"Working Theory"
BRATTLEBORO - “Working Theory,” an exhibit featuring the artwork of Elizabeth Budington, Gayle Robertson, and Leonard Ragouzeos, will hang at 118 Elliot from Thursday, June 4 through Monday, June 29. The opening reception will take place on Friday, June 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. And on Sunday, June 14, at 11 am, there will be a conversation about “Working Theory” and the creative process, hosted by the artists. Refreshments will be served.
When looking at a single painting, it is seen in isolation. A painting represents a succession of decisions; a pause in the flow of creativity; a marker of thought, idea, and sometimes emotion. This show looks at that flow, hoping to catch the thread that came through works before.
The works in this show offer insight into the artists’ path, allowing the viewer a glimpse into the creative process. The work shown represents an individual journey.
The show will be open during gallery hours on Thursdays from 3 to 6 pm, as well as during all 118 events, and by appointment. One or more of the artists will be present each Thursday.
