Ralph (Rusty) Allen

Ralph (Rusty) Allen, 79, of Whitingham, VT, died on March 5 at Albany Medical Center.

Rusty was born in Portland, ME to Ralph and Helen Allen. While residing in Agawam MA, Rusty worked for 18 years at Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, CT. He loved his work as a quality control consultant for government and military contracts. Rusty continued to work until his death.

Rusty’s first love was the cottage on Long Island, ME, where he spent most of his childhood and summers throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Liz Wheeler; his sister Donna Stewart, of Port Charlotte, FL; his nephew Craig Stewart and wife Mary, of Long Island, ME; nephew Jim Stewart, of North Yarmouth, ME; and his half-sisters’ families on the West Coast.

He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Helen Allen, his son James Allen, and his brother-in-law Harold Stewart.
