Inn guest charged with domestic assault
DOVER- Police officers responded to the 1846 Inn & Tavern for a report of a physical altercation between two subjects at about 8:19 pm on Sunday, February 1. Jordan Meehan, 31, was arrested for domestic assault. Meehan was transported to the Dover police station where he was flash-cited to appear in Windham Criminal Court to answer the charge.
Jacksonville man charged with DUI
DOVER- Police conducted a traffic stop on Handle Road for a vehicle with no taillights at about 8:37 pm on Friday, February 27. During the stop, police say the officer detected signs of impairment and screened the driver. Andrew P. Zboray, 27, of Jacksonville, was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Dover Police Department for processing. Zboray was processed and released on a citation to appear in Windham Criminal Court to answer the charge.
New Jersey man charged with assault
MARLBORO- Police received a report of a disturbance at a house on Route 9 at about 11:29 pm on Sunday, March 1. Following their investigation, police say they determined that Cooper T. Vanwagner, 28, of Ocean Township, NJ, assaulted another individual. Vanwagner was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing before being held at Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Windham Criminal Court to answer the charges.
Driver charged with DUI after crash
JAMAICA- Police responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Pikes Falls Road at about 6:29 pm on Saturday, February 28. Police located the driver, Liam Millette, 28, of Manville, RI, in the area of the crash. Police say that while they were interacting with Millette they detected indicators of impairment. Millette was subsequently arrested for the suspicion of driving under the influence. He was issued a citation to appear in Windham Criminal Court on Tuesday, March 17, to answer the charge.
Driver faces multiple charges in Route 30 crash
NEWFANE- Vermont State Police were notified of a crash involving a vehicle and a fence along Route 30 at about 2:55 pm on Monday, February 16. Police say the driver left the scene before police arrived.
Investigation identified the driver as Wyatt C. Watkins, 28, of Rutland City. Police say they determined that Watkins struck and destroyed a homeowner’s fence and left the scene without providing the required information to the property owner or notifying law enforcement. During their investigation, police also determined that a juvenile passenger was in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Watkins was later located and cited to appear in Windham Criminal Court to answer the charges of leaving the scene of an accident, negligent operation, cruelty to a child, and reckless endangerment.
No injuries in Searsburg crash
SEARSBURG- No injuries were reported in a crash on Route 9 at about 12:57 pm on Sunday, February 8. According to police, a vehicle driven by Stephanie Causnitzer, 39, of Bennington, left the roadway and overturned, resulting in moderate to significant damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Clausnitzer was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and the airbags were deployed. Police were assisted on the scene by Chippy’s Towing and Deerfield Valley Rescue.
