Deerfield Valley Food Pantry’s Feed the MOOver event success

To the Editor:
The MOOver was very well fed! The success of the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry’s Feed the MOOver event is reflected in the well-stocked shelves at the food pantry. Our thanks to Shaw’s and Coca-Cola for sponsoring the event, and Mary and Randy Schoonmaker for supplying a MOOver bus. The response from the Deerfield Valley community was fantastic. Thanks to everyone who gave us food, personal care items, and/or monetary donations.
Many hands make light work, and that was very evident as many volunteers helped with greeting people, loading and unloading the bus, as well as sorting and shelving all of the donations. Everyone at the food pantry is grateful to all of those involved with this event.
At Thanksgiving we pause and reflect on what we each have to be grateful for in our lives. The food pantry’s board of directors is certainly grateful for the generosity of the Deerfield Valley community in reaching out to assist our neighbors in need.
