Going above and beyond

To the Editor:
On Wednesday, December 10, around 7 pm, I suffered a medical emergency during the peak of the snow storm. We called 911 and they alerted Deerfield Valley Rescue.
We live at the top of Chimney Hill on a Chimney Hill Road, that the Town of Wilmington does not plow. Our road had been cleared by Chimney Hill around 3 pm, but by 7, there was several inches of fresh snow.
While waiting for the ambulance we heard something go down our road. The town snow plow driver heard the call over the radio and came up Chimney Hill Road, making sure it was clear, and then cleared our road so that the ambulance would have no problem getting to our home.
Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help make our trip to Southern Vermont Medical Center a safe ride. Also thank you to Deerfield Valley Rescue for their services.
