Poet Tim Mayo headlines reading at 118 Elliot Saturday, July 11

Poet Tim Mayo will be reading at 118 Elliot, on Saturday, July 11, at 4:30 pm, from his fifth collection “Muscle Memories of Love and Disaster.” Doors will open at 4 pm.

Mayo’s book explores grief and the loss of loved ones, some recollections of early childhood, work in a mental hospital, a near fatal accident, and finding love late in life. Reading along with Mayo will be Carlene Kucharczyk and Rebecca Hart Olander. Mayo recently retired from 15 years working at the Brattleboro Retreat, and is one of the founding committee members of the Brattleboro Literary Festival, which will celebrate its 25th festival weekend this October.
