Police investigating fatal crash on Route 9
WILMINGTON- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Route 9, near Haystack Road, at about 2:39 pm on Friday, May 23.
According to police reports, David S. Percey, 61, of Cambridge, NY, was riding a 2015 BMW R1200 GS, traveling east on Route 9, when he veered off the road and struck a guardrail. Percey sustained multiple injuries in the collision. Deerfield Valley Rescue transported Percey to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
