Bennington Museum event features “Snowflake Bentley”
BENNINGTON - The Bennington Museum announces its upcoming events.
On Saturday, November 8, from 10:30 to 11:30 am, children 3 to 5 and caretakers are invited to “Museum ABCs: Snowflake
Bentley.”
A Vermonter named Wilson Bentley was the first person to photograph snowflakes and the first to declare that no two are alike. See some of Bentley’s photographs, look at captured snowflakes with magnifiers, hear a snowy tale or two, and make some snowflake-inspired artwork to bring home.
Museum ABCs is a collaboration between Bennington Museum and the Bennington Free Library, designed for children ages 3 to 5 and their adult companions. Siblings are welcome! Museum ABCs is free and happens the second Saturday of each month, April through November.
Also on November 8, from 1 to 4 pm, volunteers of the Regional History Room and the Bennington Historical Society will help conduct research on veterans’ history. From the Revolutionary War to present conflicts, veteran’s stories can be traced. Bring documents, photos or other information regarding the veteran to be researched.
