Vermont Independent Media has the following open positions at The Deerfield Valley News in Wilmington Vermont.

ADVERTISING SALES 

You: like talking to people, and helping local Deerfield Valley businesses connect with customers; are a good communicator; want to build community; and are looking for a job where you can manage your own time, and grow through increased clients and commissions. We: are a mission-based not-for-profit newspaper; will train you to prepare quotes, identify prospective customers, and stay organized. Flexible, based at the Wilmington office $18/hr, hours a week for three-month probationary period, then $20, with commission over sales goals. 20 hours/week. No calls, please. BILLING/ADMIN 

Administrative pro who can work in our office one to two days per week. You must be familiar with QuickBooks online, have an eye for accuracy, excellent communication skills, have a good sense of billing and administration. We’ll train you to prepare invoices, track payments and donations, and manage billing records. $18/hr, 10 hours a week for three-month probationary period, then $20.  Flexible, with opportunity for some remote hours after 90 days.
