ENTRY LEVEL NEWS REPORTERS

$20/hour, part-time. Perfect for recent college graduates in journalism, communications, English, or related fields. We will train: writing, interviewing, digital/new media, & local reporting. Opportunity to grow.

Write news features & local stories focused on Wilmington / southern VT: tourism/ski, environment, community, etc. Attend & cover local events / meetings. Develop sources. Basic photo / possibly video / digital content contributions. Work closely with editor-in-chief; meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree (recent graduate) in journalism, communications, English, or similar. Strong writing samples (class projects / campus media accepted). Eagerness to learn; ability to work independently in rural setting. Comfort with digital tools, social media.
