Poets, writers, and performers invited to open mic in Brattleboro

There will be an open mic for poets, writers, and a light performance on Sunday, January 25, from 3 to 5 pm, at ByWay Books, 399 Canal Street. We are featuring “Lock Take Hide” with Danny (Lang) and Chloe. Prior to the performance, Lang will be leading an open stage for five minute expressions, based in the philosophy “self expression is important. It is never too late to start and you can be nervous or worried, but if you step onto the edge of it, surprising and wonderful things might happen for you and even those around you.” Anyone can come and listen with something tucked away and, if inspired, bring it out and share. Any topics that are clean and family-friendly, whether as an excerpt from a writing work in progress, a finished piece, a song, improv, puppetry or music, are welcome.

Lang is an occupational therapist who operates “The Body Knows the Way” and focuses on the practice of somatic therapy.
