Parish members to perform at fundraiser

A music variety show to benefit the Guilford Community Church, 38 Church Drive, will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 2 pm, showcasing a wide variety of talent from members of the congregation.

Mary Alice Amidon will sing “Jonathan Champman,” an original composition based on a poem by Steven and Rosemary Vincent Binet. Also performing will be Dot MacDonald, on ukulele; Katherine Breunig, singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and performing an original dance; Patrice Murray, Amidon, Connie Green, and Cathy Hess will sing; Fred Breunig and Carole Crompton will perform solos; Barbara Lee, Kachina Autenrieth, and Lorianna Weathers will perform an original composition; and the program will conclude with pianist Rachel Johnson.

There are no advance ticket sales. Donations on a sliding scale of $15 to $25 per person can be made at the door. Complimentary light refreshments will be served in Zeller Hall after the program.

The Guilford Community Church is fully accessible (there is an elevator to ascend to the sanctuary) and air-conditioned. Contact Rachel Johnson at rachelevelyn@gmail.com for more information.
