Registration for songwriter’s workshop open
Recording artist, songwriter, producer Ian Campbell will lead the workshops.
WILMINGTON - Friends of Historic Memorial Hall is inviting songwriters in the Deerfield Valley to come together this summer for The Songwriter’s Workshop, a new four-week program designed to spark creativity, build connections, and put original music on a real stage.
The workshop meets on four consecutive Wednesdays: June 10, 17, 24, and July 1, at 6 pm, at The Speakeasy at the White House Inn. Sessions are kept intentionally small, with space for up to 10 participants, creating an intimate setting where writers can share work, respond to prompts, and support each other’s process. The registration fee is $50 for the full series.
The program culminates in The Songwriter’s Showcase on Thursday, July 9 at Memorial Hall, where workshop participants will perform original work for a public audience. Tickets for the showcase are $15 and are available now.
The workshop series will allow area songwriters to work with other artists, finish songs, and perform for others. The program is not about teaching songwriting; it’s giving writers the opportunity to be in a room with other writers and see pieces come to life.
