Save your Halloween candy

DOVER - The fifth grade class at the Dover School, an International Baccalaureate school, is participating in Operation Gratitude’s annual Halloween Candy Give Back program. Last year more than 93,000 pounds of candy in care packages were delivered to military and first responders. The class is collecting donations of extra or unwanted Halloween candy, which they will donate to those serving the country.
As part of the primary years program, action is considered to be both an application of learning and an opportunity for students to engage in a form of contribution or service. The fifth grade is sharing information about the program with the other classes and making informational posters.
Donations of candy can be made at the Dover School at 9 Schoolhouse Drive, Equipe Sport, River Bend Farm Market, and WW Building Supply. Deadline for donations is Thursday, November 4.
