Free art classes offered

WARDSBORO- Residents in the area can take advantatge of free art classes, thanks to a new grant award.
Wardsboro Public Library is one of 12 organizations in the state to be awarded a “Creative Aging Grant” from the Vermont Arts Council, with support from The National Endowment For the Arts.
The grant will enable the Wardsboro Public Library to offer a series of art classes to be held at the library and at Neighborhood Connections, in Londonderry, in ceramics, water color, family tree stories, mosaics, and felting. All classes are taught by experienced area artists. Classes will be held throughout the spring and will be offered free of charge to aging community members in Wardsboro and neighboring towns.
The first classes will be watercolor and collage taught by Vermont artist Jane May Jones. They will be held April 2, April 9, and April 16 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Wardsboro Public Library.  To register or for more information visit  www.wardsboropubliclibrary.org or call (802) 896-6988.
