Evening of storytelling, dance

BRATTLEBORO - The Brattleboro School of Dance and The Brattleboro Music Center have joined forces to present “Cave of Dreams,” an evening of storytelling, poetry, dance, and live traditional music. It will be held Friday, August 6 at 5 and 6 pm,
“Cave of Dreams” is a multidimensional show inspired by a fairy tale of the same name, written by BSD faculty Holly Johnson. In addition to renowned harpist and composer Rachel Clemente’s melodic and rhythmic music, the performance contains original choreography by BSD faculty and alumni. It portrays the story of a community that endures hardship and recovers through engaging their imagination, wisdom and most importantly, connection with others.
Performances are just 30 minutes long and will be part of the Gallery Walk events. Come and enjoy an evening of music, dance, and story, by donation only, with light refreshments available. Proceeds go towards the scholarship funds of BSD and BMC. For more info visit www.brattleboroschoolofdance.com.
