Come out, support voting rights

To the Editor:
This Saturday, October 17, folks will once again gather at the four corners in Wilmington to encourage voters to vote early for this very consequential November 3 election. There are more hardships than usual that make this election particularly important – unaffordable housing, groceries, gas, diesel, and heating fuel. Tariffs and war make everything more expensive and compromise our safety here at home and around the globe.
This time around it is not who you are voting for, but what you are voting for. Regardless of party affiliation or Independent, we are all in this together. Please join us from 10 am to noon this Saturday as we support our right to a fair and safe voting process.
If you are unsure of your voting status, ask your town clerk where you reside. The town clerk can also answer questions regarding the voting and tallying process. Democracy relies on an informed public.
