WSWMD seeks input

To the Editor:
The Windham Solid Waste Management District (WSWMD) has launched a new online survey to solicit feedback from the approximately 3,000 access sticker holders who use the transfer station that WSWMD operates on Old Ferry Road. We ask users to take five minutes to respond to the survey questions regarding operating hours, ease of use, and customer service. The staff and the board of supervisors will review the responses in order to provide critical insight into upcoming operational planning and facility improvements. We consistently get compliments about the wide range of services we provide at cost-effective rates, but we know there may be things we could do to improve traffic flow, the type of containers we use, and hours of operation.
Transfer station customers, be it for trash disposal, recycling, food waste composting, hazardous waste disposal or other services, are strongly encouraged to participate.
The survey can be found at windhamsolidwaste.org or a paper copy can be picked up at the scale house. The survey will remain active until Friday, July 17. WSWMD thanks participants in advance for providing valuable feedback on transfer station operations.
