Walgreens agrees to pay fine as part of settlement with state

MONTPELIER- Walgreens will pay a $275,000 fine to the state of Vermont under a settlement stemming from an 18-month investigation of consumer complaints and subsequent legal action in 2022.  
Under the settlement, the national chain will pay a $13,750 civil penalty for each of 20 pharmacy locations specified in the seven-page agreement, for a total of $275,000.
