To catch a falling star

“Falling Stars” is the prize in a Fourth of July raffle.

WARDSBORO - A “Falling Stars” hooked rug, handmade by fiber artist Linda Gifkins, is the prize in the Wardsboro Public Library’s Fourth of July raffle. Tickets are now on sale.
Each year, the proceeds help cover the cost of programming and materials available at the library in the Gloria Danforth Memorial building, home of the library, at 170 Main Street.  The rug, valued at $600, is 40 inches wide by 30 inches high, is all wool, made with new and recycled material, and is finished with a hand-sewn binding.
