Schoolhouse Rock Live! in Putney

Next Stage Arts and Weston Theater Company present “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” on Wednesday, June 24, at 11 am, on the field at Putney Central School, 182 Westminster West Road.

“Schoolhouse Rock Live!” brings the songs of the classic educational television series to life in a high-energy theatrical production. Featuring unforgettable favorites such as “Conjunction Junction,” “I’m Just a Bill,” and many more, the musical transforms grammar, math, history, and science lessons into entertainment for audiences of all ages.

The show invites children, parents, grandparents, and educators to laugh, sing along, and rediscover the magic of learning through music.

Generations of fans who grew up with “Schoolhouse Rock!” will delight in hearing familiar songs, while young audiences will experience these lessons in a fresh and engaging way.

This free touring production is performed by artists from Weston Theater Company’s Young Company and will be presented at community partner venues throughout southern Vermont.

Founded in 2000, the Weston Young Company is a summer-long residency program for non-equity, college-aged performers who are attending or are no more than one year beyond graduation from a conservatory or undergraduate training program.

The program provides professional performance opportunities, training, and mentorship through workshops, discussions, and interactive exercises led by theater professionals associated with Weston Theater Company.
