WILMINGTON—Selectboard members unanimously approved a grant of $70,000 to the Friends of Memorial Hall from a fund created by the 1% local option tax that supports economic development at their regular meeting Tuesday evening.
The friends group of the historic Wilmington property plans to use the money to hire a fundraiser whose efforts would help to promote Memorial Hall as a regional arts destination, and contribute to economic development in Wilmington and the surrounding area.
