Halifax disc golf players head to championships

Halifax disc golf players John Benjamin Stafford and Declan Croutworst were feted for their recent victories in the Tri-State Disc Golf Championship. The tournament consisted of three rounds played at Otter Brook Disc Golf Course in Keene, NH, Living Memorial Park Disc Golf Course in Brattleboro, and Westy Acres in Greenfield, MA. John Benjamin Stafford won the MA3 division with a final score of -2 for the three day disc-fest. Declan Croutworst won the MA2 division with a final score of -8 for the ’funtastic’ event.

Both contestants plan on heading to the Junior World Championships being held in Pennsylvania in July. Stafford and Croutworst intend to compete together as a team in the doubles portion of the competition before attacking the individual rounds later in the week.
