Rooted, showcase for original music, at Memorial Hall

Emerald Rae
Friends of Historic Memorial Hall has announced the full lineup for Rooted, an evening dedicated entirely to original music, taking place on Tuesday, August 25, at Memorial Hall, 14 West Main Street. Doors open at 6 pm, with music starting at 6:30.
Performers include Emerald Rae, a Falcon Ridge Folk Festival emerging artist; Jill Sachs, with her full band; and the Ian Campbell Band will close out the night.
Rooted began last year as Campbell’s personal album release and birthday celebration, with Friends of Historic Memorial Hall stepping in as co-presenter. That night, the announcement was made that the organization was starting back up, and the turnout exceeded expectations.
This year, Rooted returns as a Friends program built around a simple idea: the new music that’s made in the Valley deserves a real stage.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and are available at friendsofthehallvt.org/tickets/rooted.
