Town to loan funds for design work on new public safety facility

WILMINGTON- Selectboard members approved an internal loan to fund architectural design work on a proposed public safety facility at a “telemeeting” Tuesday evening, and the town manager revealed that police are investigating violations of Gov. Scott’s COVID-19 mitigation orders.
Town manager Scott Tucker said police are investigating at least one, and perhaps two, alleged violations of Gov. Scott’s order banning short-term rentals. “Chief (Matt) Murano will probably be referring those two cases to the Vermont Attorney General,” Tucker said.
