Girl Scout cookies come to valley

VERMONT - Now is the time to stock up on a favorite flavor of Girl Scout cookies. Or maybe try a new one. Since last Friday Girl Scouts across New Hampshire and Vermont have been running their very own cookie businesses with booths popping up in places people like to shop.
For example, on Saturday, February 19, a booth will be set up at the Readsboro General Store, 6828 VT Route 100, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Cookies can also be purchased that day at Walmart, 210 Northside Drive, Bennington, from 1 pm to 5 pm; and at Bromley Mountain, 3984 VT Route 11, Peru, from 11 am to 4 pm. A booth will be at Bromley at the same time on Sunday, February 20; as well as at Papa Pete’s, 1104 Woodford Road, Bennington, from 8 to 11:30 am.
Every Girl Scout cookie purchase helps girls learn important entrepreneurial skills and powers amazing adventures for them. Girl Scouts use their cookie earnings to better their communities, explore new things in STEM and the outdoors, plan exciting travel adventures, have fun experiences with their friends, and so much more. Girl Scouts in Vermont and New Hampshire also donate cookies to hometown heroes and the military through our council’s Hometown Heroes program.
Both New Hampshire and Vermont have proclaimed Friday, February 18, to Monday, February 21 to be Girl Scout cookie weekend in each state, marking the contribution that the Girl Scout cookie program makes to the public good.
