Retail cannabis will see revote

WILMINGTON - Wilmington will need to hold a revote on Article 20 from its Town Meeting warning in the next 60 days following submission of a petition to reconsider its passage.
By passing Article 20 on Town Meeting Day, voters approved the ability of cannabis retailers to operate in town. Soon after, Charlotte Verry launched a campaign to gather signatures on a petition to reconsider the vote. She needed 82 signatures, which is 5% of the electorate, and needed to turn the petition in by Thursday, March 31.
