Singer/songwriter series, open mic, and qigong at Williamsville Hall
The Williamsville Hall, 35 Dover Road, announces its March programming.
On Saturday, March 14, at 6 pm, Lizzy Mandell and Colin McCaffrey will play songs from their new album, “To the Moon.” Presented by Rock River Music Events’ Singer / Songwriter Series, the evening features an opening set by singer/songwriter Eben Veins. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale of $10 to $30; age 7 and under are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door or by contacting lizzymandell@gmail.com. Hot food and drink available by donation.
On Tuesday, March 17, the Hall presents Green Mountain Open Mic Night from 6 to 8 pm. Performers are invited to share talent, songs, written word, and music – all are welcome. Audience members are encouraged. This is a free event, donations accepted for the hall.
Qigong is offered every Saturday from 10 to 11:15 am. Price is $10 per session. Classes led by certified qigong instructor Marcia Hylan. Through the coordination of breath and movement, a qigong practice can increase energy levels, lower blood pressure, and reduce stress and pain. Come learn some basics to get a practice started. Prior participants in Hylan’s classes will be able to deepen the practice and learn new forms.
Wear comfortable clothing and if wearing shoes make sure that they are flat shoes with space for toes to spread; a yoga mat is helpful. Email marcia.hylan@gmail.com with any questions.
